The SEC announced this week that Gene Gohlke, Associate Director for Examinations in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations, will retire after more than 35 years of service to the agency. Mr. Gohlke's career over the past three decades has focused on examination programs for investment advisers and mutual funds at a time when the number of firms and their assets under management increased dramatically. He has been the chief architect of the SEC's investment adviser/investment company examination program for almost 30 years. Mr. Gohlke has spoken at a number of Forum events, and we are grateful for the time and insights he has shared with our membership. The staff of the Mutual Fund Directors Forum wishes him the very best in his retirement.
