The SEC announced yesterday that Norm Champ is leaving his position as the director of the Division of Investment Management at the end of the month. Champ began his SEC career in 2010, first as the Associate Director in the New York Regional Office and then later that year as the Deputy Director of the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations. He assumed his current position in 2012. Champ will be a Visiting Scholar for Spring Term 2015 at Harvard Law School after leaving the SEC.
